Comments on Tibia Rules and Some Security Hints
May 28 2004 CEST
s announced, the enhancement of our information policy shows the first results. We have now added comments on our
Tibia Rules for clarification. When you look at them you will find that we have added examples and comments to every rule. Simply click on the link which is displayed at the end of every paragraph. These explanations make it much easier to understand the Tibia Rules and their meaning.
There have been other improvements as well. From now on you will see only
tibia.com when you are browsing through our website. Whenever you see something else than
tibia.com in the URL you will know immediately that you are not on our official website anymore. If you are on another website never enter your account data there. Otherwise you risk being hacked. Please note that in the next 24 hours it is possible that this change is not updated at all providers, thus you cannot use your account page.
Talking about security, we would also like to remind you that a secure password is one of the basic things to prevent being hacked. Never choose your account number as your password and mix letters, numbers and other symbols. A good strategy to find a secure password for example is to think of a sentence and pick the first letters of every word. The sentence will help you to remember your password at all times, and nobody will be able to guess it. To find out more about possible security leaks read our
security hints carefully. If you follow these guidelines, your account should be well protected against any hacking attempts.
In addition to these new developments and to the security hints, we would like to encourage you again to use our
convention page. If you have planned a real life event for Tibia players, you can announce it there. Please note that only tutors, counsellors and gamemasters can apply for a convention announcement.
See you in Tibia!
