ear Tibians, Christmas is near and the year is almost over. A good opportunity for us to take a look back at what happened in 2023 with a small but mighty recap.
In March, we invited you for the second time in Tibia's history to share your letters and thoughts with us during the Call for Letters Part II. This was a chance for you to pose long-standing questions to the Tibia team.
And indeed, you responded to our invitation! We sifted through over 200 letters and were excited to announce the 20 contest winners at the end of March. Your questions, along with the answers from the Tibia team, were finally published in July.
We hope you found the contest enjoyable and that the replies from the team satisfied your curiosity about Tibia. At least a bit.
Let us jump forward to the early summer. As with every year, the eagerly anticipated summer update arrived, introducing Paradise Lost and Rotten Blood as this year's content. Particularly, Rotten Blood might have been challenging for you players, given its high difficulty level and complex mechanics.
Additionally, new features were added to the game, including the Wheel of Destiny Presets, the Wheel of Destiny Planner, the Loot Highlighting feature, the Managed Container Extension, and the Bosstiary Tracker. A whole bunch of innovations for the hungry Tibians out there.
Just a few days after the summer update's release, we launched the Title Wave Contest. We, the community managers and the content team, sought 10 new titles that players could earn in Tibia with the upcoming winter update.
The response was phenomenal. We received a total of 985 suggestions for titles. From this large pool, we selected 10 lucky and deserving winners. The winning titles were finally integrated into the game with the winter update and also announced publicly.
Most recently, and just a short while ago, we unveiled our winter update 2023. From a content standpoint, 20 Years a Cook and Galthen and the City of Gold Part 2 are noteworthy highlights.
The Gem Atelier feature certainly played a big role as a new addition to the Wheel of Destiny mechanic and the Exaltation Forge Enhancement sparked various discussions across news platforms and the test server.
The update was further complemented by some convenience features, particularly the Managed Container Extension, the introduction of Dishes of Choice, and a higher resilience for certain older bosses.
Well, these were just a few hand-picked highlights about Tibia and its community from last year. I hope you have fond memories of one or two incidents surrounding your game and that you are as excited as we are about what awaits us next year.
And now it is time for to us follow the tried and tested tradition and trade some Christmas tokens with NPC Ruprecht. He has a new doll in store, the santa draccoon doll. Try your luck to win one in the traditional holiday raffle. Simply participate in the feedback form: What has Santa given you?.
We wish you all a happy, peaceful, and contemplative time. May you start the new year healthy, happy and full of curiosity.
See you in 2024!
